It’s time for my monthly review of the Ipsy Glam Bag. If you aren’t familiar with Ipsy, it’s is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription where you get five full or deluxe size samples of a variety of products and a cute makeup bag all for $10! You never know what you’ll get and I’ve been lucky to receive a great selection of products almost every month so far. This month’s theme was Swim into Beauty and the products came in a cute black on black bag that had the Ipsy logo embossed across it and a bright neon zipper. Here’s what was inside in June:
OFRA Cosmetics Turquoise Eyeliner
You know I’m a fan of Urban Decay, and this eyeliner glided on just as smoothly and stayed all day. I was hesitant about the turquoise shade but once I had it on, I liked it! Its a good color for summer.
Verdict:
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I’ve been a fan of the Smashbox primer for years. It feels silky on your skin and gives you a flawless finish.
Verdict:
LAVANILA LABORATORIES The Healthy Body Butter in Pure Vanilla
This body butter absorbed quickly and left my skin soft. I always like companies that use natural ingredients, but the scent was so overpowering, it gave me a headache.
Verdict:
FORMULA X Power Source Nail Color
This polish promises enhanced color and long lasting shine. I typically go for more neutral shades but the bright neon pink is fun for a summer pedicure. The polish applied easily and lasted about 4 days before chipping.
Verdict:
tre’StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon
I received the rich, chocolate brown Kona Coffee color in this shadow crayon. It was too dark to use as an everyday shadow so I tried it in my eye crease as a contour. Despite it’s promise to glide on and blend easily, it tugged and was difficult to apply.
Verdict:
