Happy Monday Friends! I’m excited to have an extra post for you this week! The weather is finally warming up, flowers are blooming and wedding season is officially here. Today I’m joining Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood, Jennie from A Pocket Full of Polka Dots, Whitney from Whitney a la Mode and Rachel from Garay Treasures to show you how each of us would style a look for a spring wedding.
Spring weddings can range from cocktail to formal and they definitely give you more flexibility on what to wear. What comes to mind is brighter colors, floral prints and lighter, flowy fabrics! All of our friends are married and have kids so weddings are a rare occasion now. In 1998, the year I got married, we attended 10 weddings in addition to ours. It was a busy and fun year! If I was attending a wedding as a guest this spring, this is what I’d wear.
This vintage Diane Von Furstenberg slip dress was actually in my purge pile when I cleaned out my closet before we moved last year. At the last minute I decided to keep it, and I’m so glad I did. The mixed print design gives it a touch of boho charm and the midi length is flirty and fun.
I was hesitant about purchasing this little wrap top because it was pricy but the woman helping me insisted that I would get so much use out of it. She was right, I wear it all the time and it’s the perfect piece to layer on top of a dress on a chilly night. A stiletto heel would look great with this dress, but they are not practical for dancing the night away. A wedge or blocked heel are an on trend comfy choice.
