Must Have Summer Maxi Dress

If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know I’m a huge fan of maxi dresses (see here, here and here). They’re the perfect work from home outfit that easily transitions to a summer BBQ, brunch with friends, date night or just running errands. One of the towns near me has a monthly First Friday event where stores stay open late, serve wine, and some have live music. It’s always fun to walk around, sip and shop!

Many of the boutiques offer discounts that night, and I found this maxi dress on the clearance rack for 80% off! The stripes, button detail and tiered hem immediately had me. The brand is Splendid, which I love, but usually can’t afford, so you can imagine my excitement when I came across it! I wore this cute summer maxi dress for date night with my husband the following evening to a wine and jazz fest. I was hoping to shoot photos at the event, but it was too packed, so it was back to my backyard the following day to take these pics.
