What I’m Reminiscing About
Photos from myParis triptwo years ago have been popping up on my Facebook memories, and I cannot wait to go back one day. I think that when our daughter graduates from college in 4 years would be a great time to go and celebrate!
What I’m Loving
Beautycounter’s Flawless in 5 promotion! Making the switch to clean beauty can be overwhelming, but Beautycounter has taken the guesswork out of the equation.

What We’ve Been Up To
We had a lovely labor day weekend on the East Coast with our daughter when we dropped her off at college. It’s a huge adjustment for her and us, and I know once she’s over the hump she will thrive!
Took my kayak out on our lake a few times. The weather is still in the ’80s, and I’m hoping to get out one more time before I store it for the winter. I’ve been looking for a kayak cart to transport my kayak’s and found a good one through this source: https://www.globosurfer.com/best-kayak-carts.
Getting my fruits and veggies from the farmers market.
I was treated to a wonderful facial at Elina Organics Spa, and I’ll be sharing more about her holistic approach to skincare in an upcoming blog post! My skin was glowing!
Our friends have season tickets to Northwestern football, and we’ve joined them for the game the past two weekends. I’m more of a hockey fan but don’t mind football when the weather is beautiful, and my bestie is with me!
I hosted a care package party last weekend, and it was a blast. I invited Moms of 9 other girls. Everyone brought multiples of the same thing to contribute. We had everything from homemade cookies, snacks, and candy to fuzzy socks, face masks, mani kits, Vera Bradley razors, and essential oils.
What I’m Working On
Planning out my fall content through November was easy but executing on it is another matter. I’ve been pretty good so far but would like to get posts competed and scheduled at least two weeks in advance. In case you missed it and need some fall decor inspiration, check out my tutorials for Buffalo Check Fall Wreath and 5 Minute Plaid Pumpkins. Coming up in October I’ll have my fall porch and home tours and on the fashion front 4 Easy Outfits with Camo Pants plus Amazon and Trader Joe’s favorites!
What I’m Watching
I’m probably aging myself here but are there any other Brady Bunch fans out there? I’ve been fascinated with HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation. The sitcom ran in the early ’70s, and it was one of my favorite shows in elementary school. When the Studio City home, which is famous for the exterior shots on the Brady Bunch show, went on the market, HGTV purchased it and are transforming the house into a replica of the original Paramount Stage 5 set.
What I’m Wearing
I’d love it if you followed me on Instagram and LIKEtoKNOW.it, if you’re not already, where you’ll find more outfit inspiration!

What I’m Doing This Weekend
My favorite thing about blogging is the relationships and meeting other bloggers in real life! On Sunday Laura, Andrea, Caroline, Katherine and I are meeting in the city for brunch, and I cannot wait!
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
Our daughter is coming home next week for a long weekend, and then we’ll be heading back East to see her for family weekend at the end of the month.
What Else is New
Trying to stay busy and get used to our new normal being empty nesters. In case you missed it, on Monday I posted 20 Fall Bucket List Ideas and yesterday I reviewed the October Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box. Stop back tomorrow for my Thursday Fashion Files linkup where I’ll be sharing another beautiful embroidered piece from the Caite & Kyla collection!
As always, thank you for reading!
