Easy Random Acts of Kindness Ideas

With so many negative and sad things happening globally, I think every day should be National Random Acts of Kindness Day, but the official day is next Tuesday, February 20th. A random act of kindness is giving your best self to someone without wanting anything in return. It could be a good deed, a compliment, or a small gift. Studies have shown that being kind to others makes them feel good and positively affects your health by releasing hormones that contribute to your mood and well-being. One small act of kindness can ripple effect as others pay it forward. Here are some easy ways to spread kindness to celebrate the holiday or just because.

  7. I know nothing makes me feel better than when I can make someone else feel good. I try to be kind every day but it will be fun to do a little bit more on the 20th.

  8. These are such wonderful ideas! Our neighbors clear the entire block’s sidewalk every time it snows and I am SO GRATEFUL! I walk my daughter to school and appreciate it each time!

  13. This has to be one of my favorite all-time posts. Going to pin it everywhere. What a thoughtful list of EASY acts of kindness. Love the idea of donating coloring books to the children’s hospital. I have taken my scrapbook paper to the Y. And need to do that again. Must multiple in my drawers!
    Love donating a piece of clothing for every new piece you buy, the giving leftovers to the homeless, money on the vending machine. I like to pay people’s parking meters and am due to go downtown to do that.

I have been making a point of complimenting strangers when it is sincere and it’s amazing to see how they just light up!
