I don’t know about you, but I’ve been taking better care of my skin during this quarantine, and trying new products is one of my favorite things to do. My skincare routine really hasn’t changed over the years, but the products I use have. With so many skincare options on the market, it can be overwhelming to sift through and figure out what works best for your skin and has clean ingredients. Today I’m sharing tips for your spring skincare routine. These are some recent finds that I have incorporated into my skincare routine as we transition from winter to spring. But before we get to that, let’s talk about my skin type.
My Skin Type
Our skin changes as we age and go from season to season, but my skin has always been on the dry side. As I’ve gotten older, my skin tone has become more uneven, has some redness, and, not to mention, fine lines and wrinkles.
Morning Skincare Routine
I start my morning with Hanalei Powder Face Cleanser. I first discovered this brand last year when their aloe gel was part of my summer CAUSEBOX. The powder formula is unique, and it leaves your face bright and soft.
After I cleanse, I use Pixi Glow Tonic toner. Carrie sent this to me to try over the holidays, and I’m now on my second bottle. It gently exfoliates your skin and preps it for your serums and moisturizers.
KORRES Sculpt and Lift Serum is a new product I’ve recently added to my skincare regimen. It helps to firm, lift, and soften fine lines and wrinkles. Use code DOUSEDINPINK20 to get 20% off at KORRES.
Next, I moisturize with Caudalie Vinosource SOS Hydration Moisturizer. This moisturizer restores your skin’s water reserves and strengthens your skin to reduce sensitivity. It’s lightweight for the milder weather but was rich enough to keep my skin hydrated all winter long.
My final step before sunscreen is applying Tula Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm. This eye balm is a multi-tasker! It instantly cools, de-puffs, hydrates, and brightens, plus you can use it as a highlighter! You can get 15% off Tula products with code INPINK15 at Tula.
Evening Skincare Routine
This cleansing balm was my favorite for years until I discovered Tula Makeup Melt. I love how easy it is to use this cleansing stick at the end of the day. Apply to dry skin, and it literally melts your makeup off your skin. Some days I double cleanse with the Hanalei Powder Face Cleanser. You can get 15% off Tula products with code INPINK15 atTula.
After my skin is squeaky clean, I apply KORRES Sculpt and Lift Serum and roll it in with a jade roller. Because I have so many favorites, I rotate this serum and this one every few days.
KORRES Black Pine Plump-Up Sleeping Facial is another new skincare product I’ve been using for the past few weeks. My skin looks smoother and plumper in the morning, and I’m looking forward to seeing if my skin gets firmer with use. Use code DOUSEDINPINK20 to get 20% off at KORRES.
BIOEFFECT EFG Eye Serum is a plant-based serum that sparks your skin’s renewal process boosting the production of collagen and rebalancing your skin’s moisturization levels. The rollerball applicator feels so good on my tired eyes, and when I wake up in the morning, my under-eye puffiness is gone, and I look less fatigued! Get 25% off with code JILL at SkinStore.
Extras
I discovered Cosmedix Glow brightening mask through one of the quarterly CAUSEBOX’s. It exfoliates away dead skin to brighten and improve the texture of your skin.
Overnight Resurfacing Peel. I always think of peels as being harsh on your skin, but this one helps hydrate, replenish, and improve the texture of your skin. Once a week, I layer this gentle peel on my skin before my moisturizer at bedtime. I wake up with smoother, more vibrant skin in the morning.
