Do you spend your weekends at the pool, or are you headed on a beach trip this summer? Sometimes figuring out what to wear to the beach can be stressful. You want to feel good about what you’re wearing to relax and enjoy the day. I’ve been all about one-piece swimsuits the past two summers. They’re flattering and great for masking problem areas, plus they are more comfortable and easier to wear. All of that gives you the confidence boost you need to step out in style. So, I’ve put together three cute beach looks with one-piece suits, cute cover-ups, and accessories. I’ve got you covered whether you are heading on a tropical vacation, to your local lake or pool, or want to refresh your swimwear.
Summer Beach Outfits for Women Over 40
#1 – One Shoulder Swimsuit & Sarong Cover-Up
One of the trends I love right now is one-shoulder swimsuits. The unique cute gives a basic one-piece suit added interest. For this outfit, I paired my swimsuit with a black sarong cover-up. The great thing about sarongs is that you can wear them in multiple ways. Tie it around your waist as I did here as a maxi skirt. If you want to show more leg, fold it into a mini skirt. You can also wrap it around your back and tie it as a bandeau dress.

#2 Printed Lace Swimsuit & Eyelet Cover-Up
One-piece swimsuits don’t have to be boring. My vibrant print one-piece is the perfect mix of pretty and cool. I added an eyelet swim cover-up that adds another touch of femininity. This cover-up is ideal for the pool or beach. It gives you the right amount of coverage, so you feel confident and can relax in style.

#3 Camouflage Swimsuit and Black Tassel Sarong
Camo print has been a trend for so long it’s now considered a classic neutral. And what a perfect way to elevate a one-piece swimsuit and add interest to your summer wardrobe. I paired it with the same black sarong from above, and the result was a fun and edgy beach look.
