Christmas Home Tour

Today’s post is a little different. Instead of fashion, today I’m opening up my home to you. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is decorate, and I’m excited to share my Christmas home tour. I hope you enjoy this photo-loaded post!

Family Room

Our family room is the coziest space in our home and where we spend most of our time, especially in the winter, because it has a wood-burning fireplace. As long as I can remember, we always had a real tree, but when we were living with family during COVID, we purchased artificial trees and never looked back. I debate every year to get one, but the main floor of our house is small, and the slim, artificial trees fit nicely into our space.

Dining Room

This room is currently a work in progress. We moved our dining table into our kitchen last Christmas Eve to make room for two banquet tables and then ultimately decided to keep it there, so this room has been empty. I recently purchased a barn wood table from a local artisan shop and will be updating the space with a new rug and light fixture after the holidays.

Sitting Room

We have another artificial tree tucked into the corner of this room. I love the look of a themed tree but have never done one myself. I’ve adorned this tree with the random ornaments we have acquired over the years. Growing up, my parents gave me an ornament every year for Christmas, and we have carried on the tradition with our daughter! We also hide a German pickle ornament in each tree. According to German tradition, the pickle brings good luck and was the last ornament placed on the Christmas tree. At our annual Christmas Eve party, whoever finds the pickle ornament gets a special gift.
