Valentine’s Day Dress Code

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’re celebrating with a special someone or having a Galentine’s Day bash, it’s the perfect excuse to wear a cute and festive outfit. I’ve got you covered with five outfit ideas. This Valentine’s Day dress code won’t break the bank, and you can wear these outfits all February long.

Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas

Under $20 Valentine’s Sweater

Let’s get started with grey denim and a charming Valentine’s sweater. This sweater is under $20 and gives the outfit a festive touch. Half-tuck the sweater to define your waist, and throw on pointed-toe ankle boots to elongate your legs. This look strikes the perfect balance between comfort and chic.

Style Tip: Add a pop of color with statement earrings or and a bold red lipstick.

Pink + Green Valentine’s Outfit

To embrace the sweetness of the season, I styled my pink corduroy pants with a cute cropped cardigan sweater. I was immediately drawn to this cardigan because of its unexpected green color, and you can’t beat the under $20 price tag.ย I completed the look with white ankle boots for a fun and festive outfit.

Style Tip: Instead of pink corduroy, try another color, like bone, black or brown.ย

Red Heart Cardigan

Dark-wash trouser jeans are on trend, and for this look, I styled mine with an open-front cardigan. The cardigan adds a unique and playful element to the outfit with the big red heart on the back. Red statement earrings, a minimalist heart pendant, and low-heeled boots completed this elevated casual look.

Style Tip: A fitted top or bodysuit works best when a cardigan is oversized or slouchy. Add a belt to define your waist.

Bold Red Denim

I’ve had these red jeans for years. They’re from cabi Clothing, and cabi has an updated pair in their current spring collection. I paired my red jeans with this fun geometric heart print sweater (under $20)โ€”size up for a more relaxed fit. Whether you’re going for a dinner date or a night out with friends, this look is both fun and stylish.

Style tip: Downplay the bold red with a neutral color like black, tan, white, or navy.

Cropped Heart Sweater

For a polished yet casual vibe, I paired my black trousers with a cropped heart print v-neck sweater (under $20) and high-top sneakers. The sweater’s bold red color has a playful pattern and makes a statement. This ensemble is perfect for a coffee date, the office, or a Galentine’s get-together with friends.

Style Tip: Swap the black trousers for a black skirt and tall boots for a flirty look.
