If there’s one piece of clothing that should be a staple in your summer wardrobe, it’s a smocked sundress. Any dress with smocking is cute, comfy, and super versatile. But first, let’s talk about this dress. I never wear orange, but something about this deep orange color instantly drew me in. Orange is also a color that easily transitions into fall, so I thought I’d get more wear out of it even when summer is over. I wore this smocked dress to an art festival over the weekend. Sundresses are a great alternative to shorts, especially when the temps are in the upper 80s. I didn’t want to look too dressed up, so here’s how I styled it down with my accessories.

The black cord on this heart pendant necklace gives it a more relaxed vibe, while the raffia earrings give the outfit a fun and beachy feel. Buckle slide sandals are trending and are perfect for styling a smocked dress casually. They add a relaxed, boho vibe that is effortlessly chic.

A woven bag is an excellent complement to your summer outfits. I chose a colorful, woven, semi-circle bag that is versatile enough for almost any occasion to complete the outfit.
