On Tuesday, I shared the top 10 most popular blog posts of 2024. And today, I thought I’d continue that theme and look back at my best purchases of 2024. When I shop, I try to find those key items that feel effortlessly “me” versus chasing every trend. I want pieces that add value to how I style myself every day. Here are my fashion finds that made the cut last year. All of these purchases stood out and offered quality, versatility, and I felt great wearing them.
1 – Quince Striped Sweater
Everyone needs a striped sweater in their arsenal and the Cropped Cotton Polo Sweater from Quince is a standout for its clean design and everyday practicality. It’s ideal for layering or wearing solo, and the classic polo collar adds a preppy vibe.
2 – Maeve Colette Pants
The Maeve Colette Pants from Anthropologie are a splurge but definitely worth it in my book. The high-waisted, wide-leg cut creates a polished silhouette that pairs well with everything. I have these in black, pink, brown, caramel, and a printed pair.
3 – Quince Barrel Pants
I wasn’t on board immediately with the barrel pants trend until I tried on the Twill Barrel Pants from Quince. They have a touch of stretch and a relaxed yet tailored fit, which makes them easy to wear.
4 – Suede Utility Pants
I scored these Blank NYC Suede Utility Pants during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. They were unlike any other pants I had in my closet. The soft suede fabric has a luxe texture and the utility/carpenter inspired details make these pants unique.
5 – Amazon Striped Dress
This striped dress was an Amazon find, and I can’t say enough good things about it. Itโs made of a soft, lightweight knit versus cotton and is super comfortable. It’s one of those dresses you can throw on and go and easily dress it up or down.
6 – Zara Ruffled Dress
My friend Caroline featured this Ruffled Dress from Zara in a Friday Favorites post last fall, and the second I saw it, I knew I wanted to wear it on my birthday. Its ruffled detailing gives off both a feminine and playful vibe. It’s not only one of the best purchases I’ve made in 2024, it’s also my favorite. I’ve worn it multiple times with boots and think it would look cute styled with sneakers when the weather warms up again in the spring. It’s currently on sale for 50% off (size up, I’m wearing a medium).
7 – Metallic Ballet Flats
Metallic ballet flats are a great neutral, and their shimmering finish instantly elevates everyday outfits. They’re practical and comfortable and bring a hint of personality to your footwear collection. I picked this pair up at Nordstrom, and they’re currently on sale at Nordstrom Rack for under $30!
8 – 90’s Denim Shorts
I bought the Madewellโs 90โs Jean Shorts towards the end of summer and wore them non-stop into fall. The high-rise waist and relaxed fit made them super comfortable even in the heat.
That’s a wrap on my best purchases of 2024. When I make a purchase, I try to balance style and practicality to build a versatile wardrobe. I hope this overview gave you a better sense of how I shop. Iโd love to hear about the standout pieces youโve added to your closet recently!
