Self-care is one thing that we all push aside, don’t you agree? It’s so easy to focus on our daily to-do lists and forget to make time for ourselves. Top that with the added stress of the coronavirus pandemic, and we’re more anxious than ever. I’ve been trying to do one thing for myself every day. And that got me thinking, why not create a self-care challenge. April 1st is tomorrow, so no better time to start! Here are 30 self-care challenge ideas that can be done homebound, one for each day of the month!
30-Day Self Care Challenge
Watch your favorite movie. Mine is Love Actually, and it always cheers me up!
Take a long walk.
Do a puzzle. I like Soduko.
Make some fruit-infused water. It helps boost your immune system and aids in digestion.
Take a nap.
Try a new recipe. This egg roll in a bowl looks delicious!
Give yourself a manicure/pedicure.
Have an indoor picnic.
Have a virtual happy hour with your girlfriends.
Make your favorite comfort food.
Download a fitness app and exercise for 30 minutes. Peloton has a free 90-day trial!
Take a long hot bubble bath.
Make a sugar scrub and exfoliate your body.
Have a one-day social media detox.
Apply self-tanner. Here are some tips!
Give your hair a deep conditioning mask. This is my favorite, or make your own.
Get cozy with a cup of tea and a good book.
Declutter and get rid of 3 things you don’t use.
Make a gratitude list.
Create a playlist of your favorite songs.
Try yoga. Check out Yoga With Adriene and Fitness Blender.
Order dinner from your favorite restaurant.
Download and try a deep breathing app.
Give yourself an at-home facial.
Do a spring craft. Try this wreath or these photo coasters.
Color an adult coloring book or page.
Treat your feet to a foot cream and fuzzy socks.
Bonus: FaceTime a friend or loved one.
Bonus: Create a vision board.

Great ideas! I think I will miss getting a pedicure the most – I can never do the good job the salon does! We will get through this and doing some things to take care of ourselves is key.

What a fun challenge! I have done several virtual happy hours and Love Actually is one of my favorite movies too. Need to print out some of these coloring pages!

I love this Jill! Self-care is so important right now, and you have some great ideas. I also love anything that involves a “daily challenge” so I will have to play along!
This challenge is PERFECT for right now! We can all use a little (A LOT) more self-care. 🙂

These are such nice ideas! I’m lucky to be able to work from home but I don’t have that much more spare time sadly. At least I don’t have to get up as early and no train journeys!

So many ideas!! I had planned on making a vision board- so thanks for that! I’m not promising that I can keep up with the whole 30 day challenge, but now I have a base for great daily ideas. Love this post xx
SO many great ideas! I already did few of it 🙂
This is such a great idea. I’ve made the egg roll in a bowl and it is delicious! My husband and I are working on a 2,000 piece puzzle right now.

This is so great – especially the puzzles! Considering we’re in for the month – this will be done! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
I pretty much think this is the BEST challenge I’ve seen during these quarantine days. I’m down for all of these. xo
This is so cool. I just started another 30 day challenge this morning, but I love the idea of a wellness challenge. I think I’m going to try this out too. Thanks for the wonderful suggestion

Such a clever idea! I like to post the activities in a grid like a calendar. Making infused water helps these days. Hope you are doing well in your end.

Great suggestions. The idea with the happy hour is fun, but where would you get the drinks? You can’t order them online, at least not here in Alaska.
These are all such great ideas. I must watch that movie again. It was one of my favorites too. I’ve made the egg roll bowl many times and LOVE it!! So good!! Have a great weekend!!

So many fun ideas, Jill! I would love a virtual happy hour with girlfriends, but I don’t think I have many girlfriends who would be willing to participate. A bunch of duds in my life! LOL Actually, I might be the one who is an anti-social dud. Who knows? I do want to give myself a manicure one of these days soon and probably am due for a new pedicure, too. The kids and I are planning a hair dying session this weekend. I am touching up my roots and they want blue hair. Stay tuned for my blue haired boys! I am sure I will share some photos on the blog once we are finished! Thanks for linking up.

Hi Jill!
These are great ideas! I dont bake, but have plans for some homemade molasses ginger cookies my mom used to make, and corn chiken chili.. so more cooking. I also have an adult coloring book I should do, it looks relaxing.
I did a gel manicure, i’m not great at pedicures, but plan on it!

Thanks! We are still able to go to the grocery store so I usually grab a few bottles of wine. I hope you are staying healthy and safe.
How fun Shelbee! I can’t wait to see how your boy’s hair turns out! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Wow, what great ideas. I should slather my hair with a mask and treat my tootsies with some TLC then curl up with my current read. This coronavirus deal is certainly slowing us down and encouraging us to try new things.
Love your suggestions, Jill! I’ve practiced some of them too. 🙂 I have a list of things I created to keep me busy.
