What I’ve Been Up To
March was a pretty relaxed month. I didn’t have to travel for work, which was nice after taking two trips in February. Here’s what I’ve been up to and my life lately.
We spent St. Patrick’s Day weekend in the city and lucked out with the weather. It was in the mid-70s, and walking around without a coat was lovely! We had dinner al fresco and then went to the Elvis Costello concert.

Chicago dyes the river green every year for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s always a fun tradition to be part of.

We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary with friends at a 1920s Speakeasy complete with a hidden door, passwords to get in, prohibition-era cocktails, and classic Italian dishes.

Products I Tried
DIH Concepts Makeup Bag
If you’re hunting for a versatile, stylish, and functional makeup bag, this is the one. It’s thoughtfully designed for packing and organization and has multiple compartments to keep products neatly in place. I love the sleek design and fun tassel detail. It comes in multiple color options. Get it HERE.

Be Coyote Foundation
Be Coyote is a cruelty-free, vegan makeup line based in Australia. They sent me their Loose Mineral Foundation to try obligation-free. I love how lightweight and breathable the formula is, giving you a flawless finish, so I wanted to share it with you. Check out their makeup HERE.
Easy Spirit Wedge Sandals
Easy Spirit gifted me their Ariane Wedge Sandals to give a walk test. The brand’s mission is to uplift women from the feet up and is known for support and comfort. With all of my foot problems, I was pleasantly surprised by how cushy these sandals are. This style is a great summer staple and will go with virtually everything. Get them HERE.

City Lips Plumping Oil
City Beauty recently launched a new product – City Lips Plumping Oil. These lip oils are designed to give your lips that perfect glossy finish while keeping them moisturized and nourished all day long. It’s the ultimate blend of beauty and selfcare. Check it out HERE and use my code DOUSEDINPINK15 for 15% off.
What I’m Watching
The Gorge is listed in the horror/action genre, so I wasn’t interested when my husband suggested watching it. The trailer looked good, so I gave in and actually enjoyed it. It’s more action than horror. It is about two highly-trained operatives appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from a mysterious evil lurking within and keeping it a secret.
My co-workers were chatting about pop tarts, of all things, and someone mentioned that there was a pop tart movie. I immediately googled it and added it to my Netflix queue. Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, Unfrosted is a quirky historical film that takes you back to 1963 and the events of cereal rivals Kellogg’s and Post as they race to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast.
The Gabby Petito story was so sad. The Netflix series delves into the events leading up to her tragic murder, including her disappearance and the search for her and her fiancé, Brian Laundrie.
Anyone else hooked on season 3 of White Lotus? It’s a slow build and a little tense, but the episodes fly by, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Watch it on Max.
What I’m Reading
Here One Moment by Laine Moriarty begins on a domestic flight that is briefly delayed but otherwise seemingly unremarkable. That is, until one passenger begins sharing oddly specific predictions, letting other passengers on the flight know exactly when and how they will take their last breath. I love this author, and this was another brilliantly written story.
Recipes I Tried
These Mediterranean Steak Bowls were easy to make and delicious.
I also made my own version of this Mediterranean Veggie Hummus Toast. It’s now one of my go-to’s for lunch and a nice change from avocado toast.

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month
I’m back on the road for work next month, nowhere exciting, but I really enjoy getting out into the field and meeting the team and my business partners. Other than that, I don’t have anything planned.
