Why You’ll Love the Cow Print Trend

Leopard, zebra, and snakeskin have been go-to prints for years, but if you want to shake things up this season, cow print is having a moment. And it’s not as wild as it sounds. The cow print trend is everywhere this spring and summer and it’s surprisingly easy to wear.

Why Cow Print Works

At first glance, cow print might seem like a novelty, but it works for the same reasons other animal prints do, adding interest and personality to an outfit without much effort. What makes it different is its relaxed, organic feel. The irregular pattern and earthier tones add a fun element without trying too hard.

And if you tend to shy away from prints, this one might change your mind. The brown and cream combo feels softer and more approachable. Plus, it pairs well with so many pieces you already have in your closet, like denim, suede, and other neutrals.

How I Tried the Trend

I recently tried the cow print trend with Zara’s cow print slipdress. It’s a bold print, but in a laid-back, wearable way.

I wore this dress a few weekends ago when we were in the city for dinner and the Elvis Costello concert. It’s perfect for date night, but you can easily dress it down with sneakers and a denim jacket.

It was warm during the day but cooled off that evening, so I paired my cow print slipdress with brown faux suede boots and a cream faux suede jacket. The suede texture played nicely with the satin fabric and grounded the look. I completed the look with a turquoise necklace to give the outfit a pop of color.

The cow print trend might not be the first trend you think of for spring, but it’s a little unexpected, fun, and wearable. Let me know – are you into the cow print trend, or are you still team leopard?

  2. I am not a big print person, but I agree with you with it being more neutral colors like brown and cream, it really does feel like something I could try without it being super bold! I love your dress and how you styled it!!
