Things I Loved in July

Is it me, or is the summer flying right past us? I can’t believe we’re in the last week of July, and back to school is right around the corner.ย  I’m linking up with Shayย andย Sheaffer and share all of the things I loved in July. Letโ€™s get started!

What I Loved in July

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub

This is hands down one of my favorite hair products, and Christophe Robin just released a limited edition for summer. It’s a cleansing scalp scrub that exfoliates, rebalances, and soothes the scalp leaving it refreshed. Your hair will never feel cleaner, and it leaves it soft and shiny. Buy it here!

Tula Face Blurring and Moisturing Primer

This primer is so good and perfect for those no-makeup days. It smoothes and evens out your skin giving it a healthy glow. And, what’s even better is that it now comes in 5 different shades (both tinted and untinted). Use code INPINK15ย  for 15% off!

Ettika Jewelry

Are you a fan of layering necklaces? Ettika is my favorite place to shop for dainty necklaces. They’re well made, and the price point won’t break the bank. Use code dousedinpink20 for 20% off!

What We’ve Been Up To

My husband and I are doing the renovations on our new home ourselves. It’s a lot of work but also so rewarding. We did get help with the floors, though. The people we bought our home from had just had the wood floors done. But, we didn’t like the color, so we hired someone to re-sand and stain them expresso.

I painted our front door a deep red.

We had baby robins nesting over our door.

We gutted the powder room, installed shiplap, painted, installed a new toilet, vanity, lighting, and mirror.

We did manage to squeeze in some fun. One of my dearest friends had a 70’s disco-themed party for her 50th birthday. It was a blast!

My sister and her husband were in town last week. We headed to the city for brunch and spent the day on the Riverwalk.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

Our daughter is coming home for 3 weeks! She decided to stay out east for the summer and hasn’t been home since January. We miss her so much, and we’re excited she has a new home to come home to as well!
