I think we can all relate to occasionally staring into our closets and feeling like we have nothing to wear. This happens to me more often than not when I have to get dressed up for a work meeting or function. Finding a perfectly fitting skirt is not an easy task…until now. I recently discovered Rita and Phill. They offer custom, quality, made to measure skirts. Their unique pattern system is personalized for each body type to create a custom-tailored skirt that is the perfect fit! Not only do they change the measurements on each skirt, but they also change the proportions to flatter your body type! Our clothes should give us confidence and make us feel good when we wear them and that’s exactly Rita and Phill’s mission!
Besides the wonderful mission behind Rita and Phill, I love that their name was inspired by the main characters in the movie “Groundhog Day”. If you remember the film, Phil is stuck in a loop that repeats the same day over and over. The only way he could get out of this time trap and win Rita’s heart was to improve himself and to help those around him.
We tend to accept the endless loop of wearing clothes that don’t really fit us because most stores sell clothes that are made for “average” sizes. Rita and Phill have broken the cycle by improving on the fit of your clothes and giving you items that you actually want to wear because it makes you look your best!
I chose the Claudia, a custom skirt with a side slit and faux leather bands along the sides at the waist. After providing my measurements, I was also asked to send two photos, one straight on and one side profile so they could make adjustments to the curvature of the skirt. When it arrived at my doorstep, it fit like a glove and felt amazing on! I also received a handwritten note from the tailor which was a nice touch!
Rita and Phill have generously offered an exclusive 35% off discount code for Doused in Pink readers with code DOUSEDINPINK06. The code is active until July 31, 2016. A custom fit skirt is a closet staple that will give you confidence every time you wear it! To create your own custom skirt and take advantage of the 35% off discount, click here.
