Athleisure has gone from being a trend to a lifestyle, and it’s here to stay. It seems that the pandemic made us ultra comfortable in our athleisure wear, and no one wants to give it up now. The good news is we don’t have to. With hybrid workplaces and more casual office environments, athleisure outfits are the norm. There have never been so many clothing options that you can wear to the gym and also for those everyday errands, coffee runs, the office, and a night out.
I’ve worked remotely for years, and it’s funny; one of the reasons I started my blog eight years ago was to hold myself accountable for getting out of my gym attire and getting dressed every day for work. Now we’ve come full circle where we can wear our athleisure outfits all day, every day.
So with that in mind, I wanted to style two pieces from Peach’s fall collection in three different ways to give you some ideas on how you can elevate your athleisure outfits. Peach was founded on the simple idea that a fashion brand could help women elevate their everyday. Their clothing is designed to help you feel your best from morning until night and be stylish and comfortable at the same time. The two pieces I’m building outfits around are the Helena Pullover and the Napa Jogger.
Two Pieces / Three Outfits
Everyday Athleisure Outfit
Keep it simple and casual with a cropped sweatshirt and jogger outfit. It’s cute, comfortable, and perfect for errands, a coffee run, or walking the pup. Matching sets are currently trending, but something draws me to the contrasting colors of these pieces.
Wear Your Sweatshirt Outside of the Gym
Sweatshirts are becoming more than just something comfy that you throw on at the end of the day. And a sweatshirt and midi skirt makes the perfect combo when styled together. The key is to slightly tuck in the sweatshirt for that slouchy vibe. I added a pendant necklace, statement earrings, and wedge booties to complete the look.
Dress Up Your Joggers
The idea of wearing joggers for a date night or night out with friends ten years ago would have been laughable. Now, with athleisure outfits the trend, joggers are a great alternative to jeans. And there are so many chic options, from satin to faux leather to soft woven fabric. Focus on the material and fit. Then, style with pieces that look polished. I paired my black joggers with a silky top, statement necklace, and heeled mules.
Tips to Take Your Athleisure Outfits Up a Notch
Fashion sneakers are great but don’t be afraid to try heeled booties or mules, wedge sneakers, or strappy sandals.
To avoid the I just got back from the gym look, play with different accessories like layered necklaces, a belt bag, or a scarf.
Keep the same neutral color palette. A monochrome outfit always has an elevated feel to it.
Add a knit blazer as your completer piece. They’re soft and stretchy and give the outfit a little structure.
There’s something about a button-up that always results in a polished look. Try swapping your tee for one.
