Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I spent most of my time at a swim meet and finally everyone was home to decorate our Christmas Tree! It’s been standing bare with only lights for the past two weeks and looks so much better decorated with ornaments! I’ll be sharing my holiday home tour tomorrow, so please stop back!
Today I’m happy to be collaborating with some of my favorite bloggers on what to wear to a winter wedding!
Dressing for a winter wedding can be tricky. You never know what the weather will bring and you want to be warm, stylish and still make sure you don’t upstage the bride. The winter season allows you to mix textures and play with darker hues to create a more dramatic look. Long dresses and maxi skirts are an easy way to stay warm and this flowy pleated chiffon maxi skirt was my starting point for creating this outfit. I paired it with a sequin top for a touch of glam and this gold belt makes a statement and ties everything together. I opted for heeled booties instead of pumps and kept my jewelry simple. Finally, a small vintage Kate Spade bag for my necessities completed the look.
