St. Patrick’s Day is a good excuse to wear green, and it’s one of those colors that feels fresh and natural for spring, so why not put together an outfit that works beyond March 17th? Whether you’re heading to a parade, meeting friends for drinks, or just making corned beef and cabbage at home, here are seven green outfit ideas for St Patrick’s Day that feel festive without looking costumey and that you’ll reach for all season long.
Seven Green Outfit Ideas
1 – A cozy green sweater is an easy way to work some color into your look without overthinking it. Forest green is a nice alternative to bright kelly green and pairs effortlessly with jeans. I kept accessories simple with gold earrings and ballet flats.

2 – If you want to look put-together for St Patrick’s Day without trying too hard, a green ribed dress in kelly green is a great option. This dress feels festive with a green striped button-up layered over it. I finished the look with sneakers and some gold jewelry.

3 – For something a little more elevated on St Patrick’s Day, try a green slip dress with a turtleneck layered under it for warmth. Go with ankle boots or strappy heels depending on where you’re headed. Or for a more casual look, dress down the slip dress with a denim jacket and sneakers.

4 – If you’re aiming for something more whimisical, try a fun graphic sweater with a shamrock or a “lucky” slogan. It pairs perfectly with trousers or denim. Sneakers keep the look relaxed. It’s an easy, low-effort St Patrick’s Day outfit.

5 – A green jacket and baseball cap add just the right amount of color. Grab a printed tee, jeans, and sneakers for a relaxed yet put-together look.

6 – A green tailored lady jacket is a softer take on St. Patrick’s Day style. Pair it with denim or trousers and gold ballet flats, and add a green bag to complete the look.

7 – Wear the graphic sweater and green dress together. I use this no-buckle belt to help layer the sweater perfectly over the dress to give it a sweater and skirt feel. Opt for sneakers to dress it down or boots to elevate this St Patrick’s Day look.

Green is one of those colors that fits naturally into a spring wardrobe, so don’t let it sit in the back of your closet after St. Patrick’s Day. Which green outfit ideas for St Patrick’s Day are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
